The Direct Delivery on Marketplace is way better for merchants than the Magic Box system. I haven’t had a non-delivered item yet since the switch. Magic Boxes had (for me at least) a 5% or more failure rate – that’s a lot of manual redeliveries to customers!
But not everyone is using the latest SL viewer. A lot of people are still using 1.0, even, or a third party viewer that lacks the Marketplace update. This means they simply never get a delivery; they have no Received Items folder at all!
Also, some customers prefer to shop in-world and don’t like the Marketplace at all.
For all these reasons I’m considering opening an in-world boutique again. Something half the size of my Second Style mainstore is feasible for me. Please vote below on this idea, because I’d like to know how you prefer to shop for fashion products in Second Life!
Loading ...I’m also considering revising my best-selling nailpolishes to use prims in addition to texture layers, to give customers more options. (The price would go up a bit, but the nailpolish would include both prims and gloves/tattoos.) Is this something you’re interested in?
