New at in-world alaskametro office: Gatcha!

During Jewellery Fair 2011, I had far too much fun playing the “gatcha” machines. If you haven’t seen one yet in-world, they’re a bubble-gum-type dispenser that will randomly give you a prize for a small amount of L$. It becomes addictive trying to get the colour combination you want for your prize.

I’ve now got a fun “gatcha” at the alaskametro in-world office! Look for the vending machine. For L$25, you’ll receive either earrings or a bracelet set in a variety of possible colours and textures.

The bracelets and earrings come in leopard, zebra, or wood pattern. There are two mystery versions, too, so you don’t really know what you’re going to get until you play!

We can finally layer tattoos in Second Life! Okay, I suppose this is only news to me (since I don’t login very often.) This means great things for makeup and avatar appearance! Now that we can play with layers, I’m introducing specific makeups, starting with lipstick.

Lipgloss (light): semi-transparent with a subtle sheen. Comes in a lipgloss tube object. Colours range from neutral browns to warm pinkish reds.

All my lip makeup is designed to fit alaskametro<3 skins only and results with other skins may vary. The free samples are available to test with your preferred skin. All alaskametro<3 makeup is created semi-transparent and should be aesthetically pleasing on most skintones, but I can’t guarantee all colours will look perfect on very dark or very light skins.

My small size booth: Jewelry Fair 2011

One of the things I really enjoy about joining a shopping fair in Second Life is the booth design. I always try to come up with something unique and themed to distinguish my booth from others.

Last year’s Beauty and the Beast theme had me working with light and dark colours to create a theme of duality. This year’s Jewelry Fair theme is Elements; I’m on the Fire sim, a wonderfully gloomy burnt out lava castle look.

I’ve departed from my usual bright, cheery colour scheme and incorporated the decayed, burnt theme for my booth. The wallpaper is burnt and peeling. The jewellery is displayed in shadow boxes with an antique frame.

You can shop for earrings, necklaces, and bracelets in select colours at my booth. There’s also a little silver jewellery box containing a free gift for you!
